Beto O'Rourke Lands Teaching Job

Description

Beto O'Rourke has a long and storied history of failure. His alt-weekly flopped. His record band went nowhere. He lost a Senate race to one of the most disliked senators of all time, Ted Cruz. His presidential campaign is considered one of the worst in American presidential political history. O'Rourke dedicated two years to flipping his home state, Texas, to the Democratic party. Beto failed at that too. Now, what is the former congressman going to do? Teach at Texas State and write a book about Democracy. Dallas Morning News reports Beto will be paid $7,500 to teach a course next semester at Texas State University. He is also "writing a book on democracy in the U.S. through the lens of Texas."
