Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accuses some Arab leaders of ignoring the horrors of Russia's invasion of his country during a speech at an Arab League summit in Jeddah. SOUNDBITE
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky insists that a special tribunal must be created to hold Russia to account for its "aggression". "When there is a tradition of inevitable punishment of aggression, then there will be a tradition of guaranteed non-repetition of aggression," he tells diplomats and officials at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, which has issued an arrest warrant for Russia's Vladimir Putin over a war crime charge. In a video address at a conference of sports ministers in London, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has called for a boycott of the 2024 Paris games over the possible participation of Russian athletes, says their presence would be a "manifestation of violence." SOUNDBITE
The United States denounces "loose talk" on nuclear weapons after Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow would only use an atomic weapon in response to an enemy strike. Declining to respond directly to Putin, State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters, "We think any loose talk of nuclear weapons is absolutely irresponsible." SOUNDBITE
Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's envoy at the Iran nuclear deal talks, arrives at the Palais Coburg in Vienna, where the IAEA-brokered talks are set to resume in hopes of finding a way to save the historic accord brokered in 2015. This is the first time since March that all the parties (Iran, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom and Germany) are meeting, with the participation of the United States, in order to save the agreement, which was supposed to prevent the Islamic Republic from acquiring atomic weapons.
