French President Emmanuel Macron is meeting the French football team in Clairefontaine this Tuesday to give his support to ''Les Bleus'' ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
France is back. Emmanuel Macron drawing applause in Davos with that line. The French president was definitely playing to a friendly audience as he pitched his country and his continent to the captains of globalisation in Davos. He also pleaded for a global compact to make growth more ethical and pointedly called on the US and China to sign a deal to regulate taxes. But do his words match his deeds? In his New Year's address to the diplomatic corps, France's President positioning himself once again as the anti-Trump by suggesting that dialogue is the way forward in Syria and Iran.
