French President Macron hosts Jordan's King Abdulllah II for a meeting followed by a dinner. The Jordan monarch arrived in Paris after having met his partners in Brussels and Strasbourg in order to seek the best way "to lower the tensions" between Tehran and Washington in the Middle East. IMAGES
King Abdullah II of Jordan receives Emmanuel Macron in Amman during a whistlestop crisis tour by the French President. Later in the day, Macron is to hold talks in Cairo with Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the president's office said. Egypt has been one of the main brokers in efforts to secure the release of more than 200 hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. Macron already met separately Tuesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas. IMAGES
