Denpasar, Mar 11 (EFE/EPA).- Hindu devotees on Indonesia's island of Bali on Thursday celebrated the purification ceremony of Melasti.The ceremony was among the events preceding Nyepi Day - Balinese Hindu New Year - that lands on Saturday, and which also includes parades of Ogoh-ogoh monster effigies.Bali is unique in Indonesia as the majority of the island's inhabitants are Hindu devotees, unlike the rest of the archipelago country's population, which follows Islam.
