  • Lamborghini LB744 - the new benchmark for hybrid super sports cars

Lamborghini has unveiled the first details of the first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) hybrid super sports car, codenamed LB744, which will make its debut shortly in the year that Lamborghini celebrates its 60th anniversary. With the LB744, Lamborghini has established a new benchmark in terms of performance and driving pleasure: an all-new architecture with new powertrain delivers more than 1000 CV in total, combining the power of a brand new 12-cylinder internal combustion engine with three electric motors and a ground-breaking double clutch gearbox that makes its debut on the 12-cylinder Lamborghini. The car showcases an unprecedented layout: the naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 mid-mounted engine is complemented by three electric motors, one of which is integrated into the new double-clutch eight-speed gearbox. This is mounted transversely and placed for the first time behind the combustion engine. In what has been the transmission tunnel since the days of the Countach, there is a lithium-ion battery instead, which powers the electric motors. The electric motors boost power delivery at low revs and can also turn the new LB744 into a purely electric car, reducing overall CO2 emissions by 30% compared to the Aventador Ultimae.

  • BRABUS 900 XLP „ONE OF TEN“ - The new, limited-edition top-of-the-range model of the exclusive high-performance off-road pickup

The new BRABUS 900 XLP “ONE OF TEN” is powered by the brawniest engine from BRABUS production: The BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 twin-turbo, increased-displacement engine is an evolution of the G 63 engine with a displacement increase to 4.5 liters. It produces a peak output of 662 kW / 900 hp (888 bhp) and a peak torque of 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft), though the latter is capped at 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) in the vehicle. It pushes the high-end pickup from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds. Due to the high center of gravity and the all-terrain tires mounted on custom-developed BRABUS Z/HD 22-inch forged wheels, the top speed is electronically limited to 210 km/h (130 mph). The vehicle pictured in the attached photos sports a ‘ROCKET Grey’ special paint finish and a black BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior with carbon adornments and elements glazed in red.

  • Audi DTM 2020 - HYLO safety device

The HYLO (High yaw lift off) is a new part designed by Audi Sport for the rear wing support pillars of DTM race cars. It is aimed at increasing safety during accidents. Thanks to the new part and its increased surface area, the aerodynamic forces of lift are reduced during accidents wherein the car has spun and is moving sideways through the air. At the same time, the speed at which these types of accidents occur is reduced. The HYLO was seen for further testing during the official DTM test days at the Nürburgring, when it was fitted to the Audi RS 5 DTM test car, which was running with Mike Rockenfeller’s Twin Busch livery design.
