In her native Sweden, Klara Andersson is busy driving the Tavascan XE on snow and ice. She’s preparing for her debut as an official ABT-CUPRA-XE driver, on March 11th and 12th in Saudi Arabia at the Desert X-Prix, the event which kicks off the new Extreme E season. Following her magnificent performance in the final two races of last year’s edition, this young driver will be back in tandem with Nasser Al-Attiyah, with whom she has already proven to be in great harmony, scoring a podium finish in Chile and the team’s first victory in Uruguay. In this in-depth interview, Klara tells her story and retraces the journey that has made her a rising star in motorsport at the age of 23.

    ABT CUPRA XE is aiming to end the Extreme E Season 2 on a high as team drivers Nasser Al-Attiyah and Klara Andersson team up once again for the final round of the series, the Energy X Prix.The event takes place in Punta del Este in Uruguay over the weekend of 26-27 November, where the all-electric off-road CUPRA Tavascan XE, will get its final competitive outing of 2022.Al-Attiyah and Andersson teamed up for the first time at the previous Antofagasta Minerals Copper X Prix in Chile, where they scored a sensational podium finish – the ABT CUPRA XE team’s best result of the Extreme E Season 2 so far.It was a magnificent achievement, not least as Andersson had been drafted into the team at short notice and had to quickly get to grips with driving the CUPRA Tavascan XE and the challenge of the rollercoaster Copper X Prix loose surface track.Having qualified for the final, Al-Attiyah and Andersson – who had quickly established a good rapport – performed brilliantly to be classified third and score the first podium finish for ABT CUPRA XE in Extreme E Season 2.Following on from that success, Al-Attiyah and Andersson will be reunited in Uruguay for the final round of Extreme E Season 2 – with the aim of continuing their triumphant partnership and scoring another excellent result for the team.

  • CUPRA - An electric SUV in the hands of a winner

    Sébastien Loeb, the nine-times World Rally Championship winner, has shared his sensations at the wheel of electric cars such as the CUPRA Tavascan after driving the new SUV during his stay in Sardinia for the Island X Prix, in which he raced with the CUPRA Tavascan XE. Despite deciding not to participate in the championship this year, Seb accepted the challenge proposed by the ABT CUPRA XE Team to take part in these two races.
