L'hélicoptère est identifié comme un modèle Mil Mil-8 de l'armée de l'air ukrainienne. Le drone, lui, est associé aux forces russes et a été catégorisé dans la classe Shahed. L’emploi d’une mitrailleuse est considéré comme l’une des options les plus économiques pour détruire ces aéronefs sans pilote, en évitant d’avoir à tirer un missile à plusieurs dizaines ou milliers de dollars.

The United States warns Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo at the UN that they "must walk back from the brink of war" as tensions between the neighbors ratchet up.
