People rescued from stranded cars in Spain's floods

Description

Heavy rains have caused flooding in the east of Spain. In the Castelló province, firefighters rescued people trapped in their cars. The Spanish state meteorological agency (AEMET) has announced a risk alert for almost half of the country, including a red alert around Madrid, where citizens have received an emergency message to their mobile phones advising them to stay at home.     A Russian sailor travelling solo from Stockholm to Spain was shipwrecked on a tiny bit of rock near the remote Swedish island of Stora Lundskar in the Baltic Sea last week, losing all his communication equipment in the accident.
