Tehran, Oct 28 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Abedin Taherkenareh) An outcry against France has been growing in the Middle East after French President Emmanuel Macron defended cartoons of Islam’s prophet Muhammad, deemed offensive by Muslims.The international row over the caricatures was sparked by Macron's defense of the caricatures following the murder and beheading earlier this month of a history teacher in France who allegedly showed them to his students. Shouting "police, rapists, murderers", hundreds of black-clad demonstrators attack French riot police near the Invalides in Paris, on the fringes of a demonstration held by healthcare workers over pay and work conditions. Under fire from the objects being thrown, police respond by firing tear gas. "Violent groups are trying to escalate tensions at the peaceful demonstration held by healthcare workers," police headquarters in Paris tweeted. By 1400 GMT, 16 people had been arrested. IMAGES
