French farmers embrace a new era of agriculture

Here in the French province of Beaujolais, farmers are embracing a new era of agriculture. France stands as one of the world's largest hemp producers. However, stringent European legislation dictate that hemp can only be cultivated and commercially utilised if it contains less than 0.3% THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis. Nevertheless, farmers across France are gradually moving towards this new form of agriculture, which has recently prompted a shift in legislation in France.
