With their tractors and haystack-filled tipper lorries stationed on A6 motorway, French farmers are facing a police roadblock as they near Rungis, the world's second largest wholesale food market, just south of Paris. IMAGES
French farmers are using their tractors to block off motorway A16 by Amblainville toll booth in the region of Oise, an hour north of Paris. Farmers union FDSEA Ile-de-France is announcing five blockades around Paris from 2pm to increase the pressure on Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who is due to announce a first set of measures to try to calm their anger. In Paris, 'yellow vests' went up the Champs-Elysées and managed to reach the Arc de Triomphe, during the sixth week in a row of the movement. Unlike previous demonstrations, the situation remained calm throughout the day on the famous avenue. IMAGES
