US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says he is "pleased" at the freeing of US aid worker Jeffery Woodke, who was kidnapped in Niger in 2016. "I want to thank the government of Niger, where I was just last week, for its important assistance in bringing him home," says the top diplomat during a news conference on the annual human rights report, at the US State Department in Washington, DC. Shlomi Ziv, one of the four Israeli hostages rescued after being held captive the Gaza Strip since the October 7 attacks, arrives at his home in Moshav Elqosh, in northern Israel near the border with Lebanon. On June 8 Israel said its forces rescued four hostages alive from a Gaza refugee camp. The four were kidnapped by Hamas at the Nova music festival on October 7. IMAGES
