US, EU trade ministers discuss tensions over tariffs and taxes

Description

US and EU trade ministers look for ways to heal transatlantic tensions over tariffs and taxes. US Trade Representative Katherine Tai discussed these issues via videolink with a meeting of EU trade ministers gathered in Brussels. The European Union has suspended its plans to ratchet up tit-for-tat tariffs on emblematic US goods from next month to give space for a wider agreement to resolve tensions created during former US president Donald Trump's administration.
