THR reports that Oliva Wilde and Shia LaBeouf clashed while making the music video for Rainey Qualley's "Love Me Like You Hate Me." Wilde was its original director and LaBeouf starred in it opposite Rainey's sister, Margaret Qualley. Wilde was given a deadline to hand in an edit of the video. Before then, LaBeouf sent in his own version. LeBeouf was insistent they go with his cut. He was also condescending to Wilde, telling her jazz musicians "know when not to play." The director replied to an email chain simply saying, "I'm out," sources told the trade. The two clashed earlier, when Wilde fired LeBeouf from the film "Don't Worry Darling."
Xinjiang Jin worked as Zoom’s chief liaison with Chinese law enforcement and intelligence services. Now he's facing federal charges for sharing user information and disrupting video calls at the request of the Chinese government. Xingjiang Jin allegedly schemed to leak user data and squash video meetings discussing the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre earlier this year. With co-conspirators, he fabricated incriminating evidence against US-based hosts of these memorials. He would log into their meetings under fake accounts with profile images related to terrorism or child porn, which he'd use to justify suspending their accounts. He’s charged with conspiracy to commit interstate harassment and unlawful conspiracy to transfer a means of identification. According to Gizmodo, the Justice Department’s case races a fresh wave of concern about Zoom’s security. The company spent the summer months muzzling Zoombombings and dragging its feet on end-to-end encryption.

The hearing date means TikTok's fate is secured until at least after the presidential election on November 3. Although the delay doesn't decide TikTok's future, it means that TikTok and ByteDance now have more than a month to weed through political tensions and deal negotiations to figure out what their next move should be in its fight against the US government.
