India sees lowest daily rise in 74 days with 70,421 new Covid-19 infections

New Delhi, Jun 14 (EFE/EPA).- India on Monday added 70,421 new coronavirus infections, the lowest in the last 74 days, with many states beginning to relax restrictions imposed ahead of the peak of the devastating second wave of the virus.However, the number of daily fatalities continues to be very high, with 3,921 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the health ministry data showed.The new deaths took the overall fatalities to 374,305 in the country that has recorded the second-highest number of Covid-19 cases with more than 29.5 million infections since the pandemic began last year.
