Biden told G7 US 'on pace' to end Afghan exit by Aug 31: Psaki

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says President Joe Biden has informed G7 leaders that the US mission in Kabul is "on pace" to end by an August 31 pullout deadline. "As you all know, in the last nine days, we have effectively helped evacuate 57,000 people and that has continued to escalate," Psaki tells reporters during a press briefing at the White House.
