The new Mercedes-Benz EQB Design Preview in Studio

Description

Whether it's for a large nuclear family or a small extended family: as a seven-seater, the new EQB offers space for many family configurations and a wide variety of transport needs. This gives it an exceptional position among compact electric cars. The two seats in the third row can be used by people up to 1.65 metres tall, and child seats can also be fitted there. The new EQB will launch in Europe and China at the end of the year, followed by the US market launch in 2022. After the EQA, it is already the second all-electric compact car from Mercedes-EQ. The powerful and efficient electric drive, clever recuperation and predictive Navigation with Electric Intelligence are just some of the features that link it to the EQA.

  • The new Mercedes-Benz EQV Design Preview in Studio

Mercedes-Benz Vans has made its medium-sized series even more attractive for private and commercial use - with a new exterior and interior design as well as more comfort, safety and functionality, especially thanks to a Plus in intelligent digital networking. The new models EQV, V-Class and V-Class Marco Polo as well as eVito and Vito mark an important step in the implementation of the recently presented, refocused business strategy. The aim is to offer the most desirable vans and services and to secure the leadership in electric mobility and digital experiences. In order to specifically meet the different wishes and needs of private and commercial customers, Mercedes‑Benz Vans is increasingly pursuing a differentiated strategic approach. The luxury strategy will apply to the privately positioned vans – including the EQV, V-Class and V-Class Marco Polo – as it does to all Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. The company is at the same time pursuing a focused premium strategy for commercial vans – including the eVito and Vito. The aim is to fully implement this strategic change with the introduction of the upcoming modular and scalable Van Electric Architecture – VAN.EA for short – from 2026 onwards. The new midsize vans mark an important intermediate step on this path. In both the private and commercial model portfolio, electric vans should also account for more than 50 percent by 2030. Mercedes‑Benz Vans already offers an electric version of each model. To date, more than 40,000 battery electric vans have been sold. The top seller is the eVito.

  • The new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter Flatbed Design Preview in Studio

Mercedes-Benz Vans is systematically electrifying all model series. The new eSprinter impresses with efficiency, range and load capacity, and is a true cosmopolitan: Produced in Europe and North America, it will underline the claim to ""Lead in Electric Drive"" in around 60 markets in the future. The new eSprinter comes with a multitude of technical innovations and is based on a new concept consisting of three modules. These allow the greatest possible freedom in the development and design of various conversions and superstructures previously only known from the conventionally powered Sprinter. The front module, a uniformly designed front section, includes all high-voltage components and can be combined unchanged with all vehicle variants, regardless of wheelbase and battery size. The module for the integrated high-voltage battery is located in the underbody to save space. The battery location between the axles, together with the robust battery housing, results in a low centre of gravity, which has a positive influence on handling and increases driving safety. The third pillar of the modular design is the rear module with the electrically driven rear axle. Following the principle of the common parts strategy, this is used in all variants of the new eSprinter. The compact and powerful electric motor is also integrated into the rear module.
