CUPRA injects its DNA into the CUPRA Tavascan Extreme E Concept. The all-electric off-road racing car is the next stage in the brand’s Extreme E adventure, which also hints at the design language to be used in the future series production CUPRA Tavascan, the brand’s second 100% electric model based that will be designed and developed in Barcelona and will reach Europe and overseas markets in 2024.
The arctic cold of Swedish Lapland is an essential destination for all new CUPRA models launched on the market to ensure maximum performance through extreme testing. The latest to take to the frozen tracks of Northern Europe was the CUPRA Tavascan, with a world-class driver at the wheel - ABT CUPRA Formula E driver Lucas di Grassi. The CUPRA ambassador experienced first-hand the sensations and emotions delivered by CUPRA’s 100% electric SUV on icy surfaces and snowy tracks in Lapland.
In her native Sweden, Klara Andersson is busy driving the Tavascan XE on snow and ice. She’s preparing for her debut as an official ABT CUPRA XE driver, on March 11th and 12th in Saudi Arabia at the Desert X-Prix, the event which kicks off the new Extreme E season. Following her magnificent performance in the final two races of last year’s edition, this young driver will be back in tandem with Nasser Al-Attiyah, with whom she has already proven to be in great harmony, scoring a podium finish in Chile and the team’s first victory in Uruguay. In this in-depth interview, Klara tells her story and retraces the journey that has made her a rising star in motorsport at the age of 23.
