Bolivian city of Cochabamba imposes quarantine measure, seeks oxygen amid 3rd wave pandemic

Cochabamba, May 29 (EFE).- The Bolivian city of Cochabamba, one of the major cities in the country, has been following a strict weekend quarantine Saturday in order to curb the third wave of COVID-19, which left several cities without oxygen.The quarantine was mostly carried out in this city, which is one of the most affected by the third wave of the pandemic, although there are some neighborhoods in the south of Cochabamba that did not follow the measure.     Colombo, Jul 5 (EFE/EPA).- Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps personnel carried out Monday a vaccination drive with China's Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine at a public park in Colombo. Sri Lanka has so far received over six million doses of Covid-19 vaccine with the stock of newly arrived 26,000 doses of Pfizer- BioNTech Comirnaty Covid19 vaccines Monday.
