Sri Lanka launches two 24-hour vaccination centers in Colombo

Colombo, Aug 2 (EFE/EPA).- Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps on Monday continued to conduct two 24 hours vaccination centers in Colombo city to administer the second dose of the AstraZeneca Covishield COVID-19 Vaccine. According to the health ministry, the Japanese government donated 728,460 doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca covishield COVID-19 vaccine under the COVAX facility on Jul 30.     Colombo, Jul 5 (EFE/EPA).- Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps personnel carried out Monday a vaccination drive with China's Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine at a public park in Colombo. Sri Lanka has so far received over six million doses of Covid-19 vaccine with the stock of newly arrived 26,000 doses of Pfizer- BioNTech Comirnaty Covid19 vaccines Monday. Sri Lanka is currently using Oxford AstraZeneca, China's Sinopharm, Russian Sputnik V, Covid -19 vaccines for the Vaccine rollout.
