HSBC reported profit grew 268% in first half of 2021

Hong Kong, Aug 2 (EFE/EPA).- British bank HSBC on Monday announced that its reported profit attributable to ordinary shareholders was $7.28 billion in the first half of the year, increasing its earnings by 268 percent over the same period in 2020.Between January and June, HSBC's revenue decreased by 4.46 percent to $25.55 billion, which the bank attributes to interest rate cuts in 2020 and lower revenue in Markets and Securities Services (MSS).
