Havana, Aug 6 (EFE).- A shipment of humanitarian aid sent by the Government of Nicaragua arrived in Cuba Friday to help the Caribbean country from a serious shortage of food, medicine and other basic products amid the worst outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Nicaraguan merchant ship Augusto César Sandino brought a load of 30 containers of food to the container terminal of the Special Development Zone, in the western port of Mariel, 45 kilometers west of Havana. Havana, Jul 29 (EFE).- The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Cuba grew by 8,607 in the last 24 hours to 366,985, while an additional 68 people died of coronavirus to bring the toll from the pandemic to 2,628, the health ministry said Thursday.
