European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen says she has warned China that supplying arms to Russia would "significantly harm" relations, following Western claims that Beijing was mulling material support for Moscow's war in Ukraine. SOUNDBITE

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen says she welcomed Chinese leader Xi Jinping's stated willingness to hold talks with Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky. "It was interesting to hear that President Xi reiterated his willingness to speak when conditions and time are right.
