China's shrinking population: Why is birthrate falling?


China's population shrank last year for the first time in more than six decades, official data showed Tuesday, as the world's most populous nation faces a looming demographic crisis. Angela Diffley, France 24's international affairs editor, takes a look at the reasons behind this decline and its possible consequences.
