Santa Cruz de La Palma, Oct 5 (EFE).- Spain’s Ecological Transition Council affirmed Tuesday that two portable desalination plants would begin to provide water for the irrigation of banana farms on the coast of the Aridane Valley at the end of next week.Lava flows from the eruption of Cumbre Vieja volcano have destroyed houses, schools, and plantations, which have led to massive loss of the most crucial crops to the local economy: bananas.
