*RESTRICTIONS: NO Access Israel Media/Persian Language TV Stations Outside Iran/Strictly No Access BBC Persian/VOA Persian/Manoto-1 TV/Iran International*Tehran (Iran), Oct 10 (EFE / EPA) .- (Camera: Abedin Taherkenareb) Farid Alizadeh is a 23-year-old refugee from Afghanistan who arrived in Iran in 2019 in search of a better life, as socio-economic difficulties, conflicts and instability continued to increase in his home country.FOOTAGE OF FARID LIVING IN TEHRAN He was hoping to raise enough money to marry his girlfriend and eventually move in together, but since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021, he confesses that he has not heard from her anymore and does not know where she is. Every day in the central Tehran coffee shop where he works and also sleeps, he checks his phone for possible news from his girlfriend and still hopes to hear from her every day. According to the latest figures from the Iranian government for October 2020, some 780,000 Afghans live in Iran as refugees.
