Ethiopian Seifu Tura, Kenyan Ruth Chepngetich win at 43rd Chicago Marathon

Chicago, Oct 10 (EFE/EPA).- Ethiopian Seifu Tura won Sunday the men's 43rd running of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, while Kenyan Ruth Chepngetich claimed victory in the women's race. Tura finished a 42-kilometer course in two hours, six minutes and 12 seconds, claiming his third marathon victory.Chepngetich, in the women's competition, took an early lead in the race and at midway through the course, she was already ahead of the world record pace and one minute ahead of the rest of the group.After a long and tiring solo effort, Chepngetich crossed the finish line in two hours, 22 minutes and 31 seconds.
