El Salvador hopes to finalize economic agreement with IMF "soon"

San Salvador, Oct 12 (EFE).- The president of the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) of El Salvador, Douglas Rodríguez, said Tuesday that they hoped to finalize an economic agreement of 1.3 billion dollars with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) "soon".El Salvador began seeking an economic agreement with the IMF in March despite the international controversies that have been generated in the country due to the decisions made by the Legislative Assembly and backed by the President Nayib Bukele.
