In late July, Lamborghini announced it had produced the 15,000th example of its Urus Super SUV since it launched in 2019. Now, just a few weeks later Lamborghini London – a part of the H.R. Owen Group – has delivered the very special Urus to its new owner.Wearing chassis number 15,000, this Urus is a Graphite Capsule edition wearing a combination of Grigio Keres Matt grey and Verde Scandal. These vibrant, gloss-finish colors bring sharp contrast to specific exterior details, accentuated by the gloss black rear diffusor and 23-inch Taigete rims.The Urus Graphite Capsule’s two-tone interior is here finished in Nero Ade and Verde Scandal, bringing the owner’s personal style sharply into focus with the perforated and ventilated Alcantara seats, the signature hexagonal Q-citura stitching, the embroidered logo, plus the matte-finish carbon fiber inserts and the black anodized aluminum details.The Urus features a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine delivering 650 hp at 6,000 rpm and 850Nm of maximum torque already at 2,250 rpm. Capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds, 0-124mph in 12.8 seconds and with a top speed of 190mph it is one of the fastest SUVs in the world.
The super SUV Urus and Aaron Durogati will face a unique challenge together. The Unlock Any Road concept of the Super SUV Urus meets the versatility of the two-time paragliding world champion Aaron Durogati, who will soon take part in the demanding Red Bull X-Alps.The 36-year-old Aaron Durogati, born in Merano, will start on June 20th in the Red Bull X-Alps, one of the toughest adventure races in the world, in which this time 33 selected participants will compete against each other over several days, all with paragliders and will be on foot (hike and fly). The aim is to pass the 1,238 kilometer long Alpine arc from Austria to Italy as quickly as possible. The race takes place in a daily time window between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. until the last athlete has completed the course.
The Super SUV Lamborghini Urus’ high-speed record set on the ice of Russia’s Lake Baikal during the Days of Speed in March 2021 has been formally registered by the RAF (Russian Automobile Federation), a member of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile). Russian driver Andrey Leontyev, 18-time record holder of Days of Speed on Baikal Ice, shares his experience of setting the record. Automobili Lamborghini presents the Urus in the new design edition, Pearl Capsule: the start of new adventures in color and features for the Lamborghini Super SUV.This first exclusive customization option for the Urus is created by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design department to showcase the inimitable style and exhilarating performance of the Lamborghini Super SUV. The assertive two-tone exterior embraces Lamborghini’s traditional high-gloss four-layer pearl colors of Giallo Inti, Arancio Borealis and Verde Mantis in combination with high gloss black roof, rear diffuser, spoiler lip and other details. The sporty matt grey tailpipes are complemented by 23” high-gloss black rims with body color accent. The interior trim is based on a unique two-tone color combination, featuring the hexagon-shaped upholstery stitching Q-Citura with logo embroidery on the seat, plus carbon fiber and black anodized aluminum details. Available exclusively on the Pearl Capsule, the optional fully-electric seat features airy perforated Alcantara for exceptional comfort.
2018 was an exceptional and truly momentous year for Lamborghini, full of successes and marked by the introduction of its third model, the Super SUV Urus. This is a vehicle that has opened up a new era for Lamborghini and one that became highly desirable immediately, with orders exceeding even the most optimistic expectations. The Lamborghini Christmas Drive was held to bring a positive and intense year to a fitting end: a 750 kilometer long tour held on 13 and 14 December to test the handling of the Urus and of its predecessor, the LM002, in wintry conditions and on mountain roads that heighten the pleasure of being behind the wheel and the sporty feel of both vehicles. The city of Bruneck has long been a friend of Lamborghini and from where the spectacular Christmas tree in the Sant’ Agata grounds comes: the city welcomed the convoy to the old town center and the Christmas market. The brightly decorated shop windows and Christmas stalls provided a magical backdrop for the cars, with many sporting special displays, and even biscuits baked in the shapes of the two models for the visit. The Lamborghini group was accompanied by the usual bright blue sky and sub-zero temperatures as they made their way to Lake Braies, now completely frozen over and covered in white, a location offering the ideal occasion to try out the vehicles in snowy conditions.
