Sony and Disney/Marvel has a huge hit on their hands in Spider-Man Homecoming but it's far from the "runaway" success some may have wanted, having taken a bit of dive after the release of War For The Planet of The Apes which opened in "Homecomings" second weekend. The film also garnered a lower opening than fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe entry Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 or the mega-success of Wonder Woman. Despite the competition "Homecoming" is still a big hit, receiving a better reception with audiences and critics especially on the subject of Tom Holland. Fan praise gives every indication that Holland has a solid career of "webslinging" ahead of him.
