Vivo Unveils First-Ever Phone with Fingerprint Reader Under Touchscreen

Chinese smartphone company Vivo unveiled a new mobile phone model which can accurately scan fingerprints when fingers are placed on the touchscreen. For the first time ever, smartphone fingerprint scanners are located underneath the touchscreen display on not on a separate sensor elsewhere on the phone. Vivo became the first company to offer this new tech after they unveiled their Xplay6 at the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Shanghai on Wednesday.
