President Barack Obama has authorized the deployment of up to 1,500 more U.S. troops for Iraq, Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby said. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
The United States will send more troops to Iraq, potentially putting them closer to the frontlines to advise Iraqi forces in the war against Islamic State militants. Mana Rabiee reports.
The United States announces sanctions on Iraqi low-cost airline Fly Baghdad, saying it provided assistance to Iran's Revolutionary Guards and proxies, while also targeting leaders of a pro-Iranian Iraq militia for sanctions.
