Former OPEC president Diezani Alison-Madueke leaves a London court after appearing over bribery charges relating to her time as Nigeria's oil minister. The UK's National Crime Agency says Alison-Madueke allegedly benefitted from at least £100,000 in cash, chauffeur-driven cars, flights and luxury holidays accepted as rewards "for awarding multi-million pound contracts". The 63-year-old was arrested in October 2015, shortly after which her family's lawyer said she would strongly contest the allegations. IMAGES
Spain has opened a terror probe after a man wielding a bladed weapon stormed a church in the southern town of Algeciras, killing one and wounding several others, legal sources told AFP. Prosecutors say the probe will be led by a judge from the Audiencia Nacional, Spain's top criminal court. IMAGES
