Universal Pictures continues to strike gold at the box office with “Jurassic World” which beat out Disney/Pixar's newest animation “Inside Out.”
The first weekend of 2015 saw Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” atop the box office as “Into the Woods” and “Unbroken” remain on steady pace.
"The Best Man Holiday" was the only new nationwide release this week and despite its impressive debut, the flick didn't have enough steam to trump "Thor: The Dark World."
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" nabbed the top spot at the end of 2013 followed by "frozen", "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues", "American Hustle" and "The Wolf Of Wall Street". While Justin Bieber's movie was the big loser.
George Clooney is given the USC Shoah Foundation Award by friends Steven Spielberg and Sandra Bullock and he in response he exclaims "Our job is to make it harder for the bad guys to deny what they are doing and harder for the good guys to ignore it".
