The Most Hilarious, Passive-Aggressive Review of Game of Thrones' Season 5 Premiere

Description

The Sunday Times published a passive-aggressive review about Sky Atlantic and the HBO series, even though they were not among the critics and writers invited to a viewing party. So what did they write if they didn't even know whether the season premiere was any good? A portion of the review, which is titled "Winter Is Here, Maybe" reads as follows: "We have no idea if this week's episode is any good, but we asked people who were at the launch and their response was: ‘It's OK, nothing great, bit of sex, but not much happens this week."

  • Game of Thrones Season 5, Episode 5 'kill the Boy' Is Not What You Think

With a title like "Kill the Boy," Game of Thrones Season 5, Episode 5 must have had plenty of fans waiting eagerly to see which character would bite the dust this time. Luckily, the phrase wasn't meant to be taken quite so literally. It was neat hearing Maester Aemon — a.k.a. Aemon Targaryen, it's worth recalling — talk about Dany, his last living relative (as far as we know). But his advice to Jon was much more important: "Kill the boy, Jon Snow. Winter is almost upon us. Kill the boy, and let the man be born." So Jon finally decided what to do with the "Free Folk," pleading with Tormund to bring the Wildlings over to the good side of The Wall. As fun as it might be to watch Giantsbane's people cut out his entrails and make him eat them — as he suspects they'll do when he asks them to side with Jon and the Night's Watch — it's probably good for everyone that the two sides may come to an agreement.
