Russia has decided to lift a self-imposed ban on supplying advanced S-300 anti-aircraft missiles to Iran.
During a joint press conference in London with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says that Britain is sending Ukraine more "high-grade military equipment" including Starstreak anti-aircraft missiles and 800 anti-tank missiles. SOUNDBITE
Footage released by Moscow show S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems arriving in Belarus, as Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu is in Minsk for talks with strongman leader Alexander Lukashenko and troop inspections ahead of the joint drills scheduled later this month. IMAGES
The Russian Ministry of Defence releases footage of anti-submarine aircraft Tupolev Tu-142 flying over the Atlantic Ocean. The Defense Ministry says crews conducted exercises "to search for submarines (...) over the neutral waters of the Barents, Norwegian Sea and the Atlantic Ocean", and were "escorted by fighters from the Norwegian Air Force and the British Air Force". Ukrainian armed forces test-fire NLAWs, (Next generation Light Anti-tank Weapon) delivered by the British amid tensions with Russia. The missiles are fired as part of military exercises on snow covered planes and the commander of the training department says that once training is complete "operators will receive these weapons and will be deployed to the task area". Meanwhile, President Vladimir Putin maintains French that the West is ignoring Moscow's security concerns over Ukraine.
