Lebanese Shi'ite group Hezbollah says its top commander Mustafa Badreddine has been killed in an Israeli attack in Syria, where he was believed to head the group's military operations in support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Mana Rabiee reports.
Top Hezbollah commander Mustafa Badreddine has been killed, the Lebanese group said on Friday, the biggest blow to the Iranian-backed organisation since its military chief was killed in 2008.
Attack
The top military commander of the militant group Jabhat Fateh al Sham, the former al Qaeda offshoot in Syria, was killed in an aerial raid that targeted a meeting of the group’s leaders, both the group and rebel sources said on Thursday.
