Thousands of protesters flooded the streets of London on Friday to protest against police brutality under the Black Lives Matter slogan following the deadly shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in the United States last week. Demonstrators blocked traffic at the capital's Oxford Circus high street, before marching to the BBC headquarters and the American embassy.
Loud chants of Black Lives Matter rang through the air in New York City on Sunday as thousands came out in protest againt police brutality and unjust killings of black males in the United States. Protests erupted across the US after two amateur videos emerged showing police fatally shooting two different black men in the span of 48 hours.
Police officers and civilians ran for cover as sniper fire rained down around the Dallas city center on Thursday. Police announced that a fifth officer had died after being fatally shot by so-far unidentified assailants. Sniper rounds ripped through the Dallas night during a protest against the recent fatal police killings of African Americans Alton Sterling and Philandro Castile. The assailants were apparently targeting police - 11 officers were shot, 5 fatally.
