CNN reports Trump had hoped a range of pivotal events would turn the electoral tide in his direction, but they're vanishing as quickly as Halloween candy. A coronavirus vaccine hasn't been created. Nor has a massive stimulus package materialized. And the investigation into the Clinton Foundation was a bust. So the president has taken to dialing Fox hosts from the White House and ripping his senior-most Cabinet members for not delivering before election day. It's an unfamiliar experience for a man used to getting what he wants. The House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump on Wednesday. The impeachment is for "incitement of insurrection", according to Business Insider. This is regarding his role in catalyzing a deadly siege of the US Capitol on January 6th. This secondary impeachment is the most bipartisan impeachment vote in US history. One Republican voted to impeach Trump the first time. Ten house republicans voted to impeach Trump this time.
On Saturday, President Donald Trump teased a presidential run during a rally in Georgia. "We're going to take back the House in 2022," Trump said "And then in 2024, and hopefully I won't have to be a candidate, we're going to win back the White House again." Trump was campaigning on behalf of GOP Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. Perdue and Loeffler are competing in the Senate runoff election next month against Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

But now, CNN reports workers have a new thorn in their sides: the QAnon conspiracy theory. It casts President Donald Trump as the hero in a fight against the 'deep state' and a sinister cabal of Democratic politicians and celebrities who abuse children. Child abuse hotline workers say believers in such unfounded theories are jamming up the lines, preventing true reports and children in need from getting through. What's more, when QAnon believers invoke the names of reputable organizations in their rhetoric, it tarnishes the good names of child welfare professionals. More than 100 anti-trafficking and child welfare organizations have already published an open letter warning of the dangers QAnon poses to their work.
Decision Desk HQ and Insider have announced that President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris have won Georgia. It's the first Democratic presidential victory in the state since Bill Clinton's narrow win in 1992, and earns Biden the state's 16 electoral votes. It brings Biden's final Electoral College count to 306, well above the 270 vote threshold for victory. Trump will earn 232 Electoral College votes. According to Business Insider, nearly all statewide precincts have reported. Biden led Trump by a 0.3% margin, earning 49.5% of the votes compared to Trump's 49.2%. Due to the closeness of the race, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on Wednesday ordered a statewide audit of the presidential election results. Such an audit requires that each ballot be counted by hand. Final vote tallies from each precinct must be submitted by November 18th.
