Medjugorje, Jun 25 (EFE / EPA) .- Hundreds of pilgrims visited Medjugorje on Friday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the supposed apparition of the Virgin Mary on June 24, 1981 to the shepherds on the hills surrounding the Bosnian village. It is believed that more than 30 million people have visited the world famous village since the first apparition of the Virgin. However, the Catholic Church has not yet recognized the miracle of this appearance.
