Volvo aims to launch an experiment involving self-driving cars. As Hayley Platt reports, the Swedish automaker will deploy up to 100 such cars on public roads to test them in every day conditions.

Record rainfall in Hong Kong causes widespread flooding Friday, cars are submerged and locals wade through gushing streets. The Hong Kong Observatory, the city's weather agency, reported hourly rainfall of 158.1 millimetres at its headquarters in the hour leading up to midnight, the highest since records began in 1884.
