Animals at the Chester Zoo must have chosen treat over trick, as zookeepers left behind delicious breakfast meals for the critters stowed away in Halloween pumpkins, just in time for the celebration of the upcoming spooky festival. Zookeepers placed the treats in the animal habitats so the curious creatures could find and enjoy. Amongst the lucky animals were the Andean Bears, Red Pandas and Tortoises. The animals had unique reactions to the pumpkins. Whilst the fierce Black Jaguar played with the pumpkin in the water, the snake simply slithered past. The Meerkats however were most curious about the treats, as they crowded around the pumpkin, elbowing each other to find out what was inside This comes as part of Chester Zoo's Enchantment event which lasts right up until Halloween on Monday, the 31st October.
