Thousands of North Koreans gather in Pyongyang's Kim Il Sung square to celebrate the country's fifth and most powerful nuclear blast, which was set off last Friday.
North Korea announced its fifth successful nuclear test on Friday morning, stating that it is now able to mount nuclear warheads on ballistic rockets. The announcement came after a large seismic event was identified at the country's nuclear test site. The US Geological Survey (USGS) detected a powerful explosion measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale at the site, igniting reports of the nuclear test, believed to be the country's most powerful yet.
