Millions of Muslim pilgrims have congregated outside Mecca, many of them praying for an end to the wars in the Middle East, as the annual haj reaches its climax. Mana Rabiee reports.

Mecca, Jul 18 (EFE/EPA).- Hajj pilgrims streamed out of the holy city of Mecca on Sunday, amid strict rules to curb the spread of coronavirus.The 2021 Hajj pilgrimage is allowed for a maximum of 60,000 residents and nationals of Saudi Arabia who are under 65 year old without a chronic disease and who can show proof of vaccination. Hajj 2021 is the second year that its access is being limited due to the global outbreak of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
