Bangkok, Sep 21 (EFE/EPA).- Thai Airways turned the company's downtown ticketing office into a cafeteria operated by Thai Catering. The cafeteria sells inflight-style meals and pastries, while customers queue up in long lines during morning hours to buy 'pa tong go', traditional dough fritters, mostly eaten for breakfast. Thai Catering staff aswell as staff formerly employed in ticketing sales and customer service, now work at the cafeteria, helping keep the staff employed at a time when the company is experiencing major financial losses due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. On Sep 14, Thailand's Central Bankruptcy Court approved the airline's debt restructuring plan as the company was set to file for bankruptcy. (Camera: DIEGO AZUBEL).
