The Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research displayed its VR solution for car repairs, which allows users to see a full 3D model of all the parts a car can have, at the 2017 CeBIT digital expo in Hanover on Sunday, . The system is designed specifically for mechanics, but may soon be available commercially. The technology can be used to show a mechanic where he has to look for repairs inside a car or where to install the corresponding part, among other tasks. Held annually in Hanover, CeBIT is one of the world's largest tech trade fairs and will go on until March 24.
