Tiny gym capsules are being installed across China to help people workout on the fly and on the cheap. At just 53 square feet, the exercise pods have no staff and are accessible 24/7 via mobile app. They come equipped with a single treadmill and TV monitor, so users can play music, movies and even check their email while burning calories. Every 5 minutes costs just 15 cents, and you only pay for what you use. Would you ever run in these tiny gym capsules?
Elderly athlete Alexandra Burtseva doesn't look a day over 70 and moves like a 45-year-old, but she actually celebrated her 91st birthday this year. This fitness enthusiast is not your average senior citizen. Yang Maolin says that regular exercise is the secret to his age. How old is he exactly? Actually, he's 101 years old. Yang lived all his life in the countryside until he left three years ago after his wife died. He moved to China's Xi'an to live with his children, but never stopped exercising. The 101-year old has become very popular in his new home town, where many locals recognize him at Revolution Park. It seems like a no brainer to suggest that regular exercise is the secret to a long and healthy life.
