Israel has not shared a date for an assault on Gaza's Rafah with the United States, which will keep raising concerns, Secretary of State Antony Blinken says, a day after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the time was set. "No, we do not have any date for an operation, at least one that's been communicated to us by the Israelis," Blinken tells reporters. SOUNDBITE
The White House says it wants to see Israel's plan for an operation in Gaza's Rafah that protected civilians, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the military's proposal for an offensive. "We haven't seen it. We certainly would welcome the opportunity to see it," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby says, adding that the United States could not support any plan without "credible" proposals to shelter more than one million Gazans.
