The theatrical release of the Harry Potter spin-off "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is just three months away. On Wednesday, Warner Brothers studios announced that Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling said she will write the screenplay for the next film in the series, which already has a release date of November 16, 2018. Warners is making a bet that world is still mad about Harry Potter and his wizarding world in 2018. It's one of the few sure bets in Hollywood. The stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is sold out until May of 2017 and the book version of the play's script sold over 3 million copies in 3 days. Rowling made her screenwriting debut with the first Fantastic Beasts film, which stars Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander.
